Race Details

Hidden away not far from Chicago (90-minute drive) and Milwaukee (under 60 minutes), Lake Geneva and Big Foot Beach State Park are must-see destinations in the Midwest. In addition to an amazing local community and atmosphere, it also offers an incredible waterfront experience at the fifth largest lake in the state (and that’s saying something).

Olympic Triathlon

June 12, 2022

Our premier event is the biggest of the weekend. Our Olympic Distance Triathlon gives you the best in swimming, cycling, and running that the Cheesehead state has to offer. You start with a 1.5K swim in Lake Geneva. The waters are fairly calm, but we understand this can be a difficult part for triathlon newbies. That’s why we offer two routes for the swim. One ventures into deeper water and the other stays in the shallower end. Whatever you prefer, we’ll keep you safe and get you through to bike ride.

Speaking of the bike ride, you follow up your swim with a 40K ride on some scenic Wisconsin backroads around the area. You’ll see a mix of small-town charm and scenic rural landscapes. Then, you finish back near Big Foot Beach where you’ll experience a fairly flat but awesome trail run along the lake. Note: Big Foot sightings have been reported on the trail. Keep your head up.

You finish on the beach, get your medal, and can party as long as you like.

Sprint Tri

June 12, 2022

For those looking for a shorter triathlon experience, we offer an incredible introduction to the sport or people looking for a great day outside. You start with a 400-meter swim in Lake Geneva. Then you make your way for a 10K (6.1-mile) bike ride on the rural roads near the lake. Finally, you finish with a quick 2.5K (1.55-mile) trail run to the finish. Partying afterward is also encouraged.

Olympic and Sprint Triathlon Relays

June 12, 2022

Don’t want to triathlon alone? Not a problem. We offer relay options for our Olympic and sprint distance triathlons. Grab some friends and family, make your team of 2 or 3, and see what you all can do alongside your fellow participants. This is a great option for anyone looking to be part of the incredible weekend but isn’t ready for a tri on their own.

10K & 5K Trail Races

June 11, 2022

Lake Geneva offers a 22-mile trail around the entire lake, but we won’t make you run the entire thing. Instead, we keep it close to the park on the southeast side of Lake Geneva. The trails give you a challenging loop that hugs the lake and gives you a chance to warm up on Saturday before your Sunday tri or something to pass the time before you crew or cheer someone on Sunday. Whether you do the 5K or 10K, we’ve got you covered with refreshments along the way. It’s also possible you may see Big Foot while you’re out there, so keep your head up.

Packet Pickup

Packet Pickup will take place on the weekend before the race and the Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday of race weekend.

For the weekend before race weekend (June 4-5) and Thursday and Friday (9-10) before the race, it will take place at Deerfield Fleet Feet (800 Waukegan Rd, Deerfield, IL 60015). This is a great option for anyone traveling from Illinois, especially the Chicago area.

Packet pickup will also be offered on race daySaturday (June 11) before and after the trail runs at Big Foot Beach State Park (1550 S. Lake Shore Dr, Lake Geneva, WI 53147). It will also be offered on triathlon Sunday (June 12) before the races start.

lodging

Lake Geneva offers some incredible local lodging from homes and cabins to hotels. However, for those interested in making it a camping weekend, Big Foot Beach offers camping sites in the park. Spots do fill up on a first come, first serve basis. If interested in camping, book sooner rather than later here.

parking

Parking will be available in Big Foot Beach State Park and nearby Badger High School. More information to come closer to the race.
